The monograph is devoted to complex researches of beliefs, rituals, cults and holidays of the native population of the Lower Amur and Sakhalin with the purpose of detection of various ethnic and cultural components. The given work is the first attempt in domestic and foreign ethnography of systematic solution of a problem of ethnocultural interactions on the basis of the analysis of world outlook and ritual practice. For researching of the problem the author uses materials of museums and archives, ethnographic expeditions in 1988-2002, which were carried out on the territory of the Russian Far East, and Northeast China and Japan.
