The sketches on Russian criminal policy that are offered to the reader are the fruit of the author’s long and painful thoughts about the activity of the legislator, which causes endless and passionate debate in a mostly legal society. And this is natural, since criminal policy affects the fundamental interests of a person regarding his freedom in the broadest sense of the word “freedom”. Sketches offer studies of those innovations that the Russian legislator chose to implement in the toga of regulatory prohibitions, not taking into account the advisability of such regulatory clothes. It is sad that the domestic creator of regulatory material continues to practice its efforts to oversaturate the Criminal Code with new regulatory ideas, which has a very bad effect on the correct design of regulatory material and on the compositional unity of the code as a whole. Studies on this and many other things, as for the modern political line of the Russian Demiurge in the field of criminal law, are narrated.
