In the 1960's Sergey Dovlatov and Igor Efimov - coevals, compatriots and old friends - were the members of the famous Leningrad literary group "Gorozhane". Several years later, in the 1970's, both writers emigrated to the USA: Dovlatov settled down in New York, Efimov established his own publishing house in New Jersey. Nevertheless, their friendship was not interrupted and continued thanks to letters and rare meetings. Today the reader has an opportunity to get acquainted with more than ten-year correspondence representing a unique epistolary novel that is indistinguishable from the best pages of Dovlatov's and Efimov's works. The book is illustrated with rare photographs.
