The small-sized yearbook presents data for 1998 on weather conditions, the economic activities with influence the state of environment (forestry, fishing, hunting, water and land use, the use of mineral resources and chemicals), the changes in the state of environment caused by economic activities (air and water pollution, soil contamination, changes in the quality of food and drinking water, waste, etc.), the measures for improving the state of environment (conservation surveillance, environmental protection expenditures) and the quantities of natural resources. Comparisons are drawn with the data of previous years. The yearbook will be published in June.
