The first volume tells about the domestic policy in Russia during the reign of Alexander I, the attitude to Napoleon and the Patriotic War of 1812. The second one is about the end of the war, negotiations and diplomatic relations of Russia with its allies, preparation for the war against France. The third volume includes information about the results of the Patriotic War, strategic plans for 1813, and the battles of 1813. The fourth volume tells about the events of 1814: Napoleon’s defeat, occupation of France, the Bourbon Restoration.
