The book presents a collection of unique materials about the work of spy and sabotage underground in the Soviet Union in the 1930s. The authors show how due to the actions of the NKVD the “fifth column” was totally eliminated in the Soviet Union. This fact largely predetermined the victory in World War II, as Germany could not use the “fifth column” for internal attacks on the USSR.
