The paper treats the question of electoral cycles in the Russian Regions. Empirical study of the main regional socio-economic indicators (like CPI, social expenditures, wages etc.) and balance sheets of industrial enterprises (taxes collected, wage and tax arrears, etc.) is undertaken in order to test the hypothesis of cycle' existence in the regional government's activities.
