Sixteen-year-old El lives the life of an ordinary American teenager. He doesn't stand out at school, and after school he hangs out with a friend or works part-time in a movie theater. He falls in love without reciprocity with unattainable beauties and is preoccupied with entering the university. El's parents are divorced, each has a new family long ago: dad's in Ukraine, mom's in the USA. Arriving at his dad's for the holidays, El meets Eva - his "new sister".
Fifteen-year-old Eva is a fiery girl, bright and impulsive. Hangs out with rockers, hangs out in the "Bochka" bar and loves an adult: a musician, of course. El and Eva - get to know life, grow up, make mistakes, learn to make friends, communicate, experience first loves and first life difficulties.
