The textbook provides a comprehensive analysis of the competitiveness of the national economy, considers the parameters of the formation of a national model. Much attention is paid to the concepts of national competitiveness, the macroeconomic characteristics of Kazakhstan and the global economy. Methods for quantitative measurement of competitiveness, the criteria for assessing this complex phenomenon used in world practice are considered, their achievements and shortcomings are identified.
It is noteworthy that the author clearly distinguishes the competitiveness of the financial sector, the innovative and technological component of competitiveness, as well as the regional aspect of increasing competitiveness. Such a scientific approach of the author characterizes the versatility of such an economic phenomenon as competitiveness.
