The publication is a linguistic contribution to the broad interdisciplinary debate on discrimination. Discriminatory instrumentalization of language means the use of language as an instrument and means of discrimination, but also its misuse as a discriminatory ground. The basic research question was how language or linguistic communication participates in the formation of discriminatory relations and, more generally, in the formation of discrimination as a social reality. The aim of the research was to demonstrate the instrumentalization of language in selected social spheres (commercial, media, political) and relations (inter-individual, institutional, or systemic, cultural) on textual materials of various kinds. The research on discriminative instrumentalization of language was conducted through the methods of critical discourse analysis.
