The work (Dis)continuities or the repetition of history presents current dilemmas and questions related to the (re)construction of history and the ideology of identity, both individually and on a comparative level regarding the so-called small peoples, as special socio-cultural groups. The focus of the book is the questioning of the ideological foundations and recurrent processes of the structure of national-historical identity; critical redefinition of its historical formation and developmental changes that influenced the value reception of the multipolar (plural) identitarian tradition. The book deals with current and acutely imposed topics, processes and dilemmas of the Croatian ideological-political and cultural context, where (inevitably) significant aspects and conflicting experiences from the common ex- and post-Yugoslav history are included, as well as numerous examples of mutual cultural contacts and fruitful intersections (first of all, with the Macedonian situation and the so-called Macedonian "question", which is not surprising, given that the author of the book is a prominent Macedonian by his subspecialist vocation).
