The aim of the book is to present a profound survey on the history of Dargin people as one of the Daghestan (republic in northeastern Caucasia, southern Russia) ethnic group that has common origin and close connections with other ethnic groups of Caucasia, and to reflect the similarity of their material and spiritual culture. The first of the two volumes covers the history of the Dargin origin from the IIIrd till the XVIth century.
