Psychological and legal aspects of such kind of affect as cumulative physiological affect are considered. The author compares the application of this concept in the legal tradition of different countries, analyzes its different interpretations and elements and builds his own coherent theoretical basis for the application of this concept in jurisprudence and criminal law. The consideration of this phenomenon in modern Ukrainian law enforcement practice is analyzed and a new approach to forensic examination is proposed, which will allow to establish the presence of a state of cumulative physiological affect in the suspect at the time of the crime.
