Boris Yakovlevich Ryauzov (1919 - 1994) was a Soviet and Russian landscape painter; Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1958), Corresponding Member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1970), Laureate of the State Prize of the RSFSR. I.E. Repin (1973), People's Artist of the RSFSR (1978), full member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1987). The conference participants discussed issues related to the work of B. Ya. Ryauzov, the main stylistic trends and the search for "Siberian identity" in the work of Siberian artists of the 20th - early 21st centuries, current museum and art studies, as well as the development of contemporary art in the Urals, Siberia and the Far East. The materials of the reports are supplemented with reproductions of paintings by Siberian artists.
