The monograph analyzes and sums up experience of different countries in regional valuation of fresh and salty groundwater resources, its quality and contamination vulnerability, discusses the main regularities of the formation and distribution of groundwater natural resources in various natural and climatic conditions, the principles of ecological-hydroxological zoning, influence of human economic activity on groundwater resources, and the main problems of groundwater protection from contamination and depletion.
