The book tells about the history of the club in a small taiga village lost in the expanses of Kolyma, and covers the time period from 1940 to 1956, when it was the cultural center not only of Nizhny Seimchan, but of the entire South-Western mining department of Dalstroy. In the conditions of isolation of the territory in wartime, the club played a big role in the life of the village. People came here after work to find out and discuss news from the front, rallies were held here and celebrated the Victory. The fates of many people crossed in Nizhny Seimchan. Both civilians and former prisoners who, for various reasons, were unable to leave Kolyma, performed on the club's stage.
