The five-volume criminal law course is a monographic study of all the basic issues of the theory and practice of criminal law. The collective work of famous Belarusian scholars contains well-established fundamental approaches to understanding the essence of the norms and institutions of criminal law, reveals the problematic aspects of the theory of domestic criminal law and the author's solutions proposed in relation to these aspects. In the course, the authors used modern doctrinal positions and a national investigative and judicial practice, formed over the 18 years of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus in 1999.
Volume 1 of the course is devoted to the doctrine of crime and covers its conceptual and categorical apparatus, basic provisions and institutions in the prism of the peculiarities of Belarusian criminal law as an industry, law and science.
