Russian material habitat is formed by creative genius of many generations of architects. At present information about these creators is published in separate monographs and popular scientific articles. The present monograph is the only complex systematized collection on creative activities of architects working in Russia. At the same time the collection gives a clear idea about general development of Russian architecture, change of its concept and can be used as a convenient reference book on different monuments of architecture. Material is arranged in the chronological order and grouped according to historical periods. Each group of architects of a given historical period is illustrated with some of their works in amount of 320.
