Documents of Yakhontov, the assistant business-manager of Council of Ministers of the Russian Empire, consist in two parts. The first one represents draft notes, that he wrote down at the government meetings within 1914-1916 (there were no official recordings). They reflect the opinions of ministers on all questions under discussion devoted to war and public life. The second part deals with the correspondence of Yakhontov in 1922-1936 with ministers and officials in emigration. It is devoted to the discussion of conditions and reasons of the collapse of old Russia.
