The publication deals with the confessional relations and connections in Slovakia from the point of view of the past and present, it describes relations between the Church and the state in individual historical periods: during the work of the brothers of St. Cyril and st. Method, in the period of Great Moravia, the Kingdom of Hungary, the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, the Czech-Slovak Republic, the Slovak Republic, the Communist Czech-Slovakia (Czechoslovakia), Czechoslovakia and the establishment of the current Slovak Republic. Legislation enacted throughout history is compared with the present. The historical context is presented with regard to the present, especially it is a comparison of historical legislation with legal norms that are effective in the current SR, respectively. also with other regulations, in particular in connection with effective international conventions.
The author discusses the relations of churches and religious societies in the Slovak Republic, international and national treaties, cooperation and other activities, financing and related issues. The author likes to return to two outstanding personalities, but especially to the statement of the mayor of religion or the history of religions of worldwide importance, but above all to the faithful Christian Mirceu Eliade: "... the early world is an illusion and Prof. Jan Komorovsky).
