The monograph considers the prospects for the development of communicative theory of law in the era of figures. Two branches of the communicative theory of law are analyzed: the Russian communicative theory of law (A. V. Polyakov), based on political and legal ideas of Russian philosophy and phenomenological tradition, and the Western communicative theory of law (M. van Hoek), based on post-metaphysical social theory (N. Luhmann and J. Habermas); their connection with the culture of the printed book is shown. Through the prism of the key turns of social ontology - medial and memorial - a new reassembly of the basic categorical series on which the communicative theory of law is based is revealed.
