The proposed monograph analyzes problems of development of civil society in the Republic of Moldova. The main ideas of civil society in legal and social-political thought from ancient times till the present day are reflected. Correspondence of the taken model of democracy to modern functions of civil society, peculiarities of formation of political pluralism and multi-party system are reflected.
