The publication reflects the results of a study devoted to the problem of the formation of civic values among young people. The main approaches to understanding civic-mindedness in political philosophy, the interpretation of civic-mindedness in current pedagogical research, and an analysis of foreign and Russian practices in the formation of civic values and social activity among schoolchildren are presented. In addition to theoretical material, the book presents the results of empirical research - surveys and interviews conducted in 2019 in the Sverdlovsk region, offers recommendations for improving the practice of forming citizenship.
