The history of the Russian Orthodox Church in the context of the history of the Russian state and society of the XXth century was analyzed by the authors of the materials published in the book. Using unknown sources, the authors uncovered insufficiently explored issues of that complicated period for Russia trying to find alternative ways of interpretation of the Russian history.
