The monograph gives an extensive review of historical prerequisites of the first appearance and further spread of Chinese migrant workers in the Far East. The author reveals a large-scale participation, instability of membership and temporality of this movement. The book offers a most penetrating study of settlement, occupations, legal status and mode of life of Chinese newcomers. As the edition is rather old, its state isn’t very good, but it’s well worth reading. Limited quantity.
