This book presents the history of the Khazars from the region of the Caspian Sea. The Khazars were extinct Turkic people, who flourished from about 200 AD to about 950. First they lived in the region of the Caucasus Mountains and the Caspian Sea and later on the steppes of southeastern Russia. The Khazars were eventually assimilated by the Russians.
