The unique materials - decorative carved clay found during the excavations of palace complexes of the medieval towns of Jamukat (VIIIth - IXth cc), Kulan (IXth - Xth cc), and rich farmstead of the Kayalyk town (XIIIth c) are presented in the book. The peculiarities of world outlook, connected with early Islam, the period when new religion performed the aim of synthesis and adoption of the cultural heritage of Jetysu (Semirechie) population, are brightly reflected in the carved decoration.
