The attraction of archive sources, illustrations, innovations in conceiving creative biographies of P.I.Bartenev, I.A.Bunin, M.M.Prishvin, A.I.Levitov, N.Ya.Danilevsky defined new strategies in the interpretations of historical and cultural legacy of the Yelets land. For the first time the works by the outstanding Russian writer-immigrant G.D.Grebenshchikov taken from private archives are published. The poems by E.I.Nazarov are returned after age-old oblivion. I.A.Bunin considered E.I.Nazarov his poetical tutor.
