The monograph is devoted to the decolonial aspects of modern Ukrainian culture, and the central issue is not so much about Ukrainian post-totalitarian trauma as such, but about its positive consequences, ie post-totalitarian post-traumatic growth and its significance for Ukrainian (Post) modern identity. The author analyzes the works of Pavel Arye, Vladimir Lis, Oksana Zabuzhko, Maria Matios, Katya Petrovskaya and Vladimir Rafeenko and films by Igor Minaev and Sergei Loznitsa, as well as historical and cultural essays by Ivan Dzyuba and photographs, documenting the Holocaust of the Jewish population of Kiev in Baba.
