The monograph is about topical issues of studying border territories in various countries. The publication contains two sections devoted to theoretical problems and applied aspects of cross-border research. Cross-border cooperation is considered from the point of view of the influence of socio-economic factors, modernization processes. A typology of Polish Euro regions is proposed. Applied aspects are represented by environmental problems arising in the border areas of the Belarusian lakes and at the mouth of the Danube. Attention is paid to the state of the Crimean-Ukrainian borderland, the transformation of the sectoral structure of Kazakhstan, the Chinese factor of the spatial development of Russia.
