The name of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin occupies a special place in the cultural code of Russia, and all the places associated with him become important points on the map of the country. There is such a place on Nizhny Novgorod land. On the territory of the Bolsheboldinsky district, the memory of the poet is preserved by the Pushkin estates in the villages of Bolshoe Boldino and Lvovka, as well as the preserved parks of noble estates in the villages of Apraksino, Chernovskoye, Nizhnyaya Sloboda that he visited.
To mark the 225th anniversary of the birth of the great poet, a catalog of historical and cultural monuments of the Bolsheboldinsky municipal district has been published. The catalog continues the series of publications dedicated to the cultural heritage sites of the municipalities of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The book is richly illustrated, it includes archival photographs and drawings, as well as modern photographs that capture the extraordinary beauty of the local places.
