The collection of dialect texts written by Yuriy Hnatyshak from natives and residents of the city of Bolehiv, Ivano-Frankivsk region. The texts not only represent the traditional material and spiritual culture of Ukrainians (calendar, family rites, customs, ordering prophetic dreams), but also reproduce the pages of history (memories about the execution of Jews, about the UPA, German and Soviet occupation in the 40s of the XX century. and about the Russian occupation of Crimea in 2014, as well as contemporary political vicissitudes). The texts transport the reader to ordinary family everyday life, showing household fragments and working moments from the lives of furriers, bakers, butchers, workers, etc. Pages from the life of Bolehiv residents are illustrated by photos (from the family archive of Yuriy Hnatyshak or his authorship).
