This work, which is the product of the pen of one of the creators of Azerbaijani prose of the 20th century, our great writer Mammad Said Ordubadi, and which has gone through many years of political changes, is a valuable example that helps to reveal historical truths. The book, which the writer wrote and completed in 1908 under the name "Bloody Works", was first published in 1911 with the financial assistance of the Baku millionaire-philanthropist Murtuza Mukhtarov after his appeal to the wealth owners of the nation through the newspaper "Taza hayat".
The description of the Armenian-Muslim conflict that took place at the beginning of the 20th century based on correspondent letters from various regions creates a complete picture of the content and course of the conflict in the reader.
The fact that those events occurred again after seventy years according to the same scenario shows that we have naively forgotten the past. For this reason, the re-publication of the work serves to awaken the memory of our people and to draw lessons from what happened.
