The life of Catholic bishop Stefan Barnas, who belonged to important personalities of the Slovakian history of the 20th century. Already in the interwar period of Czechoslovakia, he worked closely with Bishop Vojtassak and since 1933 he worked as a professor at the Theological School of the Spisska Kapitula, where he earned his praise for the education of Catholic intellectuals in the 1930s. He has long drawn attention to the danger of atheistic communism. After 1945, when he was entrusted with the task of leading the Spis diocesan seminary, he was in an open conflict with the state power.
