The Republic of Moldova ratified the Convention on Biological Diversity (Rio de Janeiro, 1992) in 1995. According to the Convention provisions, the Ministry of Ecology, Construction and Territorial Development in collaboration with the specialists from different institutions and organizations, worked out the Strategy and Action Plan in the field of Biological Diversity Conservation in the Republic of Moldova.
