In 1990, a methodological center was created in Oktyabrsky, which began to deal with rural institutions. This was especially important when the Soviet Union collapsed. The village club has ceased to be a platform for ideological events. He had to organize leisure in new conditions.
“We staked on the revival of Belarusian traditional culture,” Svetlana Berezovskaya comments. - This is the basis of the foundations, what the work of a cultural institution in the countryside should be based on. We did not have choreographers, vocal leaders, but we had grandmothers who knew a lot of songs, dances, who created unique examples of decorative and applied art with their own hands. They were the ones who could teach all this to children. When younger people adopt folkloric experience from an elderly person, it is a very touching process.
