The poet Benjamin the Blessed (Benjamin Mikhailovich Aizenshtadt) (10/15/1921- 07/31/1999) kept a handwritten literary diary for almost sixty years. All his texts, mostly poetic, he wrote down in large general notebooks in chronological order, trying to date them strictly. Some notebooks have their own titles, others include several named sections. In total, the poet's archive contains sixteen notebooks. Veniamin Mikhailovich never edited his literary diary. New versions of poems were recorded as they appeared - in new places and with new dates. During his life, the poet rewrote his notebooks several times, without violating their content and chronological integrity. The first notebook of the diary is dated 1940-41, the last - 1998-99. The first book of Benjamin the Blessed was published in 1990. So far, the poet has published seven small volumes of poetry. A huge array of texts has not been published. The task of this publication is to draw attention to the very phenomenon of the literary diary of Benjamin the Blessed, to intrigue researchers and publishers, to present to interested readers the great dynamics of the outstanding poet's work.
