The author of this book M.Murtazin is a legendary brigade commander, outstanding military and political figure of that time, one of the organizers of Bashkir troops, commander of Bashkir brigade during the Civil war. The book contains two parts. The preface is dedicated to the history of Bashkir nation. The second part describes the events of the Civil war, connected with the soviet power formation on the territory of Bashkiria, South Urals, as well as with defense of Petrograd from the troops of general Yudenich in 1918 and military operations on the Polish front in 1920.
