Russian researchers summarize rich dialectal material on the Bashkir language that was gathered in the course of two large scientific expeditions to various regions of Bashkortostan. The author proves the presence of the three following dialects in the Bashkir language: the Eastern, the Southern and the North-Western, brings to the front their peculiarities, and considers them in comparison with literary language.
