The author of the study advocates the theory concerning the Turkish origin of Scandinavians. Analyzing numerous historical materials and chronicles, the author reveals contradictions of the traditional approach to the problem, and refers to the insight of the famous traveler Thor Heyerdahl, who in 2001 searched for the Ass people, the ancestors of Scandinavians, in the Northern Caucasus.
