This edition presents the most complete set of documents casting light on life and creative work of A.S.Pushkin from 1799 till 1829: from the documents concerning the poet’s birth and the origin of Pushkin family to the documents of the end of 1829, when in the correspondence with Department 111 a new crisis in Pushkin’s relations with the authorities is revealed. The edition contains 573 texts compared with the originals, which are kept at Pushkin House Fund, as well as different archives of Moscow and Saint-Petersburg.
