The book is devoted to the results of the archaeological studies along the route of the projected “Power of Siberia-2” (“Altai”) main gas pipeline, which were conducted by the Altai archaeological expedition of the IAET SB RAS in 2011–2012 on the territory of the Altai Republic. One discovered over 320 monuments of different epochs, from the Paleolithic Age until the modern time. The first volume contains a review of the history of archaeological studies on the territories adjacent to the gas pipeline route and geological description of the area. Each out of 320 monuments is described in detail, its cultural and chronological belonging is specified. The second and the third volumes present cartographical and illustrative materials for every monument.
