Olya Rusina is a writer, journalist, translator. She was born and lives in Kyiv. The author of children's books "Sister", "Maya's Family", "34 sunny days and one gloomy one". She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Polonistics from KNU named after T. Shevchenko and a bachelor's degree in journalism at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. She wrote her first novel "Sister" at the age of 15. The book was nominated for the "BBC Book of the Year 2012" award and received the "Children's Choice" award at the International Literary Festival in Lviv. She works as an editor and correspondent for the Ukrainian weekly "Nashe Slovo" in Warsaw, a journalist at "Hromadsky Radio", translates from Polish.
