A graduate of the Lviv police school, Denys Chornyi, is sent to work as a junior investigator in a small town in the Kyiv region with the mysterious name of Kholodne Pole. And since the events take place at the end of the 90s of the last century Chornyi has to deal with both criminal structures and a strange religious sect. And soon, insanely cruel murders with the same "handwriting" begin to be committed in the city: the bloody maniac spares neither teenagers, nor women, nor animals. The fiancee of the investigator also dies from the claws and teeth of the mysterious killer. The inhabitants of the city are frightened.
