The book consists of 3 parts. The first part of the book contains articles, interviews, statements of the author who considers new possibilities of chemical analysis. It concerns new methods and instruments, terminology, and many other issues. The second part is an essay of the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences on analytical chemistry. It reflects the history of the Council and basic areas of its activities. These areas include the organization of conferences, seminars, schools, publishing work, international relations, and others.
