This year marks exactly 70 years since the Kazakhs arrived in Turkey in 1952 and settled in the village of Altaykoy, spending 2-3 years in a refugee camp. This work is dedicated to this important event. Documentary photographs, maps, manuscripts are also evidence of the past. Altaykoy is the only purely Kazakh village among 35 thousand villages in Turkey, like a small Kazakh island in a big sea. In this book, the past of the village of Altaykoy, a settlement of Kazakhs in Turkey, and the life of its blood relatives unfold through real information and documentary events. It also raises issues such as dreams, sorrows and longings, awakening, growth, development, assimilation, revival and Kazakh identity of a small group left outside the homeland. The language of the work is simple, the stories are attractive.
