Guenter Just, the author of the book, claims that Alfred Jodl, an honest soldier and true patriot of his motherland, was unjustly sentenced to death. He insists on the necessity to reconsider some points of the case. Those, who won the war, had lost their relatives, homes and motherland, so it was rather controversial to consider their decisions unbiased and impartial. However, every point of view has its supporters and opponents, that is why the book is supplied with three appendices, where certain views are set forth. The readers are offered to make there own conclusions, basing on genuine archival documents, letters, reports and evidences.
