Prime Minister of Mongolia (Chairman of the Council of Nations's Commissars) from February 21, 1928 to April 27, 1930, President (Chairman of the Small Khural) from July 2, 1934 to March 22, 1936, and again Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars from March 22, 1936 to March 7, 1939. He was defeated in the fight against Choibalsan, was arrested on March 1, 1939, sent to Moscow and sentenced to be shot by the Military Collegium of the USSR Supreme Court on July 10, 1941, on charges of participating "in a counter-revolutionary nationalist organization", was shot on July 27, 1941 at the Kommunarka training ground.
