In "Home Accounts," you'll read stories that remained in the author's drawer and were only included in his books after 1983. These undated stories were compiled with due consideration of their writing and narrative style, and they were arranged according to their thematic relationships. The book could have been titled "Home Accounts," which was the title of "Adnan's Wife," but the title "Home Accounts" refers to the abundance of Esendal's stories that deal with romantic relationships and the calculated affairs of his professional life. Indeed, almost all of Esendal's stories are fundamentally about "venturing into life" and "establishing a home"—about youth's search for love and happiness.
