The book of the indefatigable traveler and skier Vladimir Sharko is an attempt to reconstruct the events that took place in January 1959 with a group of tourist students of the Ural Polytechnic Institute under the leadership of Igor Dyatlov, who went to a remote region of the Northern Urals and died under unknown circumstances. The techniques and methods of disclosing the causes of the incident used by the author are fundamentally different from all versions and conclusions previously published by other experts and journalists.
